Diego Andrés Rojas Ortiz is a Chilean-born, internationally working set, costume, and makeup designer.
He combines his creative skills with different formats and media and applies them across various artistic fields.His approach to work is basing every step of the process on a conceptual structure and matching it with an extensive understanding of materials, references, and Zeitgeist.
Diego has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chile and studied Stage and Film Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.
Diego has worked with companies such as Walt Disney Pictures (NZ); Hèrmes Vienna (AT), New Opera of Vienna (AT); Max Reinhardt Seminar (AT); Musical Theater Amstetten (AT); Philarmonic Luxemburg (LUX); Opera and ballet Ljubljana (SI); Impulstanz Festival (AT), Amok Festival (BE) among others.
His passion lays in bringing the fictional and poetics worlds to life, through different media, with high attention to detail, and observation of nature as well as history, in order to develop his visual dramaturgy.
While his work strongly focuses on performing arts, movement stage, and film aesthetics Diego has worked with the advertising and retail industry as a Stylist and Set designer.
